For City Council - District 2
I’m running for San Marcos City Council to build a city that works for everyone - a place where families, small businesses, and seniors feel supported, connected, and heard. San Marcos is growing, and our leadership must grow with it. As your future City Councilmember, I’m focused on practical, people-first solutions that keep San Marcos thriving and united. These five pillars form the foundation of my campaign—and the promise I make to our community.
Everyone deserves the opportunity to live and thrive in San Marcos. I will champion thoughtful growth that includes a mix of housing options for working families, seniors, and first-time buyers- while ensuring our infrastructure keeps pace. That means responsible zoning, quality design, and preserving the character of our neighborhoods and protecting our open spaces. I will also advocate for developer fees that are fair and appropriately structured to support the true cost of growth - like roads, schools, parks, and emergency services - so that new development strengthens our community instead of straining it.
A connected San Marcos means people of all incomes can call this city home.
Small businesses are the heart of San Marcos, they create jobs, fuel our local economy, and build the character of our neighborhoods. I’ll advocate for policies that reduce barriers to opening and growing a business, improve access to capital and resources, and ensure our city supports entrepreneurs at every stage. A thriving small business community means more opportunity and connection for all.
A connected San Marcos invests in its local businesses and the people behind them.
Whether it’s wildfire prevention or emergency response times, public safety must keep up with our city’s growth. I’ll support well-equipped fire and police services, enhance neighborhood disaster preparedness, and advocate for safer public spaces.
A resilient San Marcos is a strong San Marcos—where we look out for each other.
Protecting our natural resources is essential to preserving the San Marcos we love. I will prioritize sustainable development, safeguard our trails, creeks, and canyons, and ensure that open spaces remain protected for future generations. From clean energy and water conservation to wildfire prevention and green building standards, I’ll push for policies that address climate change at the local level.
A connected San Marcos honors its natural beauty and plans consciously for the future.
Homelessness is a regional crisis that impacts us locally. I support a balanced approach that expands shelter access, mental health and substance use services, and long-term housing solutions—while keeping our public spaces clean and safe.
We are stronger when we lift each other up—no one should be left behind in San Marcos.
